  2. Camshaft Locking: Position the Camshaft Locking Plate (OEM: 109-2D) onto the camshaft sprockets. This plate will align the camshafts in their correct timed position. Secure it as per the vehicle's service manual.
  3. Flywheel/Crankshaft Pulley Holding: Use the Flywheel/Crankshaft Pulley Holding Tool (OEM: 109-2B / Opel EN-52127-2) to counter-hold the crankshaft pulley when loosening or tightening the crankshaft bolt. This prevents the crankshaft from rotating and damaging the locking pin.
  4. Once all timing components are locked, proceed with the timing belt replacement or other engine repairs as per the vehicle's service manual.
  5. After completing the repair, carefully remove all timing tools in reverse order of installation.
  6. Rotate the engine manually several times (at least two full crankshaft rotations) to ensure free movement and correct timing marks alignment.
