User Manual: Seitron POLF02 Portable Gas Detector
Model: POLF02 | Brand: SEITRON
Produkt overview
The SEITRON POLF02 is a portable microprocessor-controlled gas detector designed for the detection of various combustible gases, including Methane, LPG, and other hydrocarbons (CxHy). This device is equipped with a flexible probe for precise gas leak localization, a large LCD display for clear readings, and an acoustic alarm for immediate alerts. Its compact design and battery operation make it ideal for field use and quick inspections.

The image displays the Seitron POLF02 portable gas detector. The main unit is black with a grey display area. The display shows "100 ppm" and has an "AUTO RANGE" indicator. Below the display are control buttons: a green power button, two navigation buttons ('>0<' and 'H'), and three function buttons ('UNIT', 'SET', 'FUNC'). A flexible black gooseneck probe extends from the top of the main unit, ending in a sensor tip. This design allows for easy access to hard-to-reach areas for gas detection.

Opsætning
1. Udpakning og inspektion
Carefully remove the gas detector from its packaging. Inspect the device for any visible damage. Ensure all components, including the flexible probe and USB charging cable, are present.
2. Første opladning
Before first use, fully charge the device. Connect the supplied USB Type B cable to the detector's charging port and plug the other end into a 5V USB charger (not included). The battery indicator on the display will show charging status. A full charge typically takes several hours.
3. Tænder
Press and hold the green power button (marked with a circle and vertical line) located on the front panel until the display illuminates. The device will perform a self-test and warm-up sequence. Allow a few moments for the sensor to stabilize before taking measurements.
Betjeningsvejledning
1. Autozero Function
Before each use, or when moving to a new environment, it is recommended to perform an Autozero calibration. Ensure the device is in a clean, gas-free atmosphere. Press the 'SET' button to activate the Autozero function. The display will indicate when the calibration is complete, setting the baseline to zero.
2. Gasdetektion
Extend the flexible probe to the area where gas detection is required. Slowly move the sensor tip around the suspected leak source. The LCD display will show the concentration of detected gas in parts per million (ppm) or other selected units. An acoustic alarm will sound if the gas concentration exceeds a predefined threshold.
3. Valg af enhed
Press the 'UNIT' button to cycle through available measurement units, if applicable. The default unit is typically ppm.
4. Hold-funktion
To freeze the current reading on the display, press the 'H' button. This is useful for recording peak values or readings in hard-to-view locations. Press 'H' again to resume live readings.
5. Sluk
To turn off the device, press and hold the green power button until the display turns off. The device also features an auto-off function after 20 hours and 30 minutes of continuous operation to conserve battery life.
Opretholdelse
1. Batteripleje
- Recharge the battery when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
- Undgå at aflade batteriet helt ofte for at forlænge dets levetid.
- If storing the device for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) and recharge it every few months.
2. Rensning
Tør ydersiden af enheden af med en blød, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no liquid enters the device openings, especially the sensor tip.
3. Sensor Protection
Handle the flexible probe and sensor tip with care. Avoid bending the probe excessively or exposing the sensor to harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures, which could damage it.
