Kontrol og instrumenter

This section details the various controls and instruments found on the Ford 7000 Tractor, essential for proper operation. Familiarize yourself with the location and function of each component before starting the engine.

Engine Controls and Indicators

  • Air Cleaner Restriction Warning Light: Illuminates if the air cleaner element is restricted. Clean or replace the element as necessary. Refer to "AIR CLEANER" on page 35.
  • Proof-Meter: This instrument indicates engine speed, PTO speed, and accumulated hours of operation. The engine speed is 1900 RPM at 540 PTO RPM.
  • Diesel Engine Excess Fuel Button: Used for starting in cold weather. Press the button before starting and release once the engine fires.
  • Fuel Shut-Off Valve: Located on the fuel filter housing. Turn clockwise to stop the flow of fuel from the tank.

Brake and Rear Axle Controls

  • Brake Pedals: The brake pedals operate the right and left rear wheels independently. Depress both pedals simultaneously for normal braking.
  • Parking Brake Handle: Engages the parking brake. Pull up to engage, push down to release.
  • Differential Lock Pedal: Engages the differential lock for improved traction in slippery conditions.

Operation

This section provides detailed instructions for operating the Ford 7000 Tractor, including starting, stopping, and engaging various systems.

Standsning af motoren

  1. Reducer motorhastigheden til tomgang.
  2. Pull the fuel shut-off control knob until the engine stops.
  3. Turn the key-starter switch to the "OFF" position.

Operating Transmission and P.T.O.

The transmission operates through a live-drive clutch pedal and a high-low shift lever. The Power Take-Off (P.T.O.) is independently controlled by a separate lever.

  • Transmissionsdrift: Always depress the clutch pedal fully and bring the tractor to a complete stop before moving the gearshift lever.
  • P.T.O. Operation: The P.T.O. shaft is on your tractor in the standard 540 RPM, 1-3/8 inch diameter shaft. Engage the P.T.O. with the engine at idle speed.
