1. Opsætning og indledende forberedelse

Before operating your Brother sewing machine, ensure it is properly set up and prepared for use. Follow these steps carefully.

1.1 Udpakning og strømtilslutning

• Tag forsigtigt maskinen ud af emballagen. Gem alt emballagemateriale til senere transport eller opbevaring.
• Placer maskinen på en stabil, flad overflade.

1.2 Spolning af spolen

2. Guide the thread through the upper thread guide and around the pre-tension disc.
3. Insert the empty bobbin onto the bobbin winder spindle.
4. Wrap the thread clockwise around the bobbin several times.
5. Skub spolevinderen til højre.
6. Press the foot controller gently to start winding. Stop when the bobbin is full and push the spindle back to the left.
7. Trim the thread.

1.3 Trådning af overtråden

1. Løft nålen til dens højeste position ved at dreje håndhjulet mod dig.
2. Løft trykfodshåndtaget.
3. Placer trådspolen på spoleholderen.
4. Før tråden gennem den øverste trådfører.
5. Bring the thread down the right channel, up the left channel, and through the take-up lever from right to left.
6. Fortsæt med at føre tråden ned til nålestangens trådfører.
7. Thread the needle from front to back. Pull about 6 inches of thread through the needle eye.

1.4 Isætning af spolen

1. Åbn spoledækslet.
2. Sæt den opviklede spole i spolekapslen med tråden udrullet mod uret.
3. Guide the thread into the tension spring slot.
4. Luk spoledækslet.
5. Hold the upper thread lightly and turn the handwheel towards you to bring the bobbin thread up through the needle plate hole.
6. Træk begge tråde (overtråd og spole) under trykfoden og mod maskinens bagside.

2.1 Valg af sømme

2.3 Grundlæggende syning

1. Place the fabric under the presser foot, aligning the edge with a seam guide line on the needle plate.

4. Guide the fabric gently with both hands, but do not push or pull it forcefully.

6. When finished, raise the needle to its highest position, raise the presser foot, and pull the fabric towards the back.

3. Vedligeholdelse og pleje

3.1 Rengøring af spoleområdet

• Sluk for maskinen, og tag stikket ud af stikkontakten.
• Fjern nålen og trykfoden.
• Open the bobbin cover plate and remove the bobbin.
• Remove the bobbin case and the feed dog cover plate (if applicable).
• Use the small brush provided with your machine to remove lint and dust from the bobbin case, feed dogs, and surrounding areas.
• Saml alle dele igen.

3.2 Replacing the Needle

• Sluk for maskinen, og tag stikket ud.
• Hæv nålen til dens højeste position.
• Løsn nålen clamp skruen ved at dreje den mod uret.
• Fjern den gamle nål.
• Sæt en ny nål i med den flade side mod maskinens bagside, og skub den så langt op som muligt.
• Spænd nålen clamp skrue sikkert.

3.3 Smøring (hvis relevant)
