4. Opsætning

4.1 Mounting the Weather Station

The weather station is designed for wall mounting. Choose a location that is representative of the general atmospheric conditions, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or drafts, which could affect temperature and humidity readings.

  1. Select a suitable indoor wall location.
  2. Using the provided mounting hardware, securely fasten the weather station to the wall. The back of the unit features a keyhole slot for easy hanging.

5. Betjeningsvejledning

The Youshiko YC6020 is an analogue device and operates without batteries. Readings are displayed continuously.

5.1 Aflæsning af barometeret

The large central dial indicates atmospheric pressure in hectopascals (hPa). A rising pressure generally indicates improving weather, while falling pressure suggests deteriorating conditions. The barometer also features weather symbols (sun, cloud, rain) to provide a general forecast based on pressure trends.

5.2 Aflæsning af termometeret

The lower-left dial displays the ambient temperature in degrees Celsius (°C). The range is from -20°C to +60°C.

5.3 Aflæsning af hygrometeret

The lower-right dial shows the relative humidity as a percentage (%). The range is from 0% to 100% RH.

6. Kalibrering

6.1 Barometer Adjustment

For accurate pressure readings, the barometer may need to be calibrated to your local atmospheric pressure. This is typically done upon initial setup or if the unit has been moved to a significantly different altitude.

  1. Obtain the current local atmospheric pressure from a reliable source (e.g., local weather service, airport, or another calibrated barometer).
  2. Locate the small adjustment screw on the back of the weather station.
  3. Carefully insert the provided adjustment tool into the screw.
  4. Gently turn the screw clockwise or counter-clockwise until the barometer needle points to the correct local pressure reading.
  5. Lightly tap the glass face of the barometer to ensure the needle settles correctly.

Note: The thermometer and hygrometer are factory-calibrated and generally do not require user adjustment.

7. Vedligeholdelse

The Youshiko YC6020 Weather Station requires minimal maintenance to ensure longevity and accurate readings.

  • Rensning: Wipe the wooden frame and brass bezel with a soft, dry cloth. For the glass face, use a soft, slightly damp klud og tør straks. Undgå slibende rengøringsmidler eller opløsningsmidler.
  • Placering: Keep the unit away from extreme temperatures, high humidity, direct sunlight, and strong vibrations.
  • Tapping: Occasionally, a gentle tap on the glass face can help the barometer needle settle, especially after significant pressure changes.

8. Fejlfinding

If you encounter any issues with your weather station, please refer to the following table:

ProblemMulig årsagLøsning
Barometer needle not moving or inaccurate.Needs calibration; stuck mechanism; unit moved.Calibrate the barometer using the adjustment screw (Section 6.1). Gently tap the glass face. Ensure the unit is not exposed to drafts or vibrations.
