3. Opsætning

Before initial use, fully charge the sharpener. The sharpener features a built-in 2000 mAh lithium battery. It can be charged using the provided USB cable.

1. Connect the USB cable to the charging port on the sharpener.
2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a laptop or a compatible USB power adapter (adapter not included).
3. The four LED indicators will illuminate to show the battery charging level. A full charge typically takes about 1 hour.
4. Once fully charged, the sharpener can be used approximately 300 times.

Inserting a Pencil

To begin sharpening, gently insert a pencil into the sharpening hole.

Adjusting Nib Styles

The sharpener offers three adjustable pencil nib styles. Rotate the knob on the top of the sharpener to select your desired effect:

• Long and Blunt Nib: Twist the top adjuster clockwise.
• Short and Sharp Nib: Twist the top adjuster anticlockwise.
• Long and Sharp Nib: First, twist anticlockwise for a short, sharp nib. Then, switch to the other hole and twist clockwise.

Automatisk slibning

The sharpener will automatically start when a pencil is inserted and gently pressed down. It will cease operation once the pencil reaches an optimal point. Avoid applying excessive pressure during sharpening.

Compatible Pencils

This sharpener is suitable for pencils with a diameter of 6-8.5mm, including:

• Sketch Pencils (3H-8B)
• Charcoal Pencils (Soft, medium, hard)
• Graphite Pencils (e.g., Staedtler 2B-8B)

Vigtig: Do not sharpen crayons, chalk, pastel, wax-based pencils, eyebrow pencils, or ultra-soft core charcoal/colored pencils, as these materials can jam the blade and cause damage.

5. Vedligeholdelse

The sharpener features a large-capacity shavings box. To empty it:

1. Rotate the top lid anticlockwise to open it.
2. Carefully remove the shavings box.
3. Empty the pencil shavings into a waste receptacle.
4. Reinsert the shavings box and rotate the lid clockwise to secure it.

Clearing Broken Leads

If broken leads become stuck in the sharpening hole:

• Re-insert a hard graphite pencil, such as a No. 2 pencil.
• Press the pencil down with approximately 2 KG of pressure. The broken leads should be automatically ejected.
