5. Opsætning

6. Betjening

The Stayer PLASMA MULTI 40 offers three distinct operating modes: MMA, TIG, and Plasma Cutting.

6.1. General Operating Principles

The PLASMA MULTI 40 provides high-quality TIG welding with high-frequency (HF) arc ignition, eliminating the need for scratch starting and reducing tungsten contamination.

Connect the plasma torch and ground clamp. Ensure the compressed air supply is connected and flowing at the correct pressure. Select Plasma mode and adjust the cutting current. Position the torch nozzle close to the workpiece without touching (non-contact HF ignition) and press the trigger to initiate the plasma arc and begin cutting.

7. Vedligeholdelse

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your PLASMA MULTI 40 unit.

  • Rensning: Periodically clean the exterior of the unit with a dry, soft cloth. Use compressed air to blow out dust and debris from the ventilation openings. Ensure the unit is disconnected from power before cleaning.
  • Kabelinspektion: Regularly inspect all cables (power, welding, ground, torch) for cuts, cracks, or damaged insulation. Replace any damaged cables immediately.
