Indledende opsætning
Indstilling af tid
- Pull the crown (A) out to the second click position. The second hand will stop.
- Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the desired time. Ensure the 24-hour subdial (if applicable) is also correctly aligned for AM/PM.
- Push the crown back into the normal position. The second hand will resume movement.
Indstilling af dato
- Træk kronen (A) ud til den første klikposition.
- Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise (depending on the movement) until the correct date appears in the date window. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the date change mechanism.
- Skub kronen tilbage til normal position.
Betjeningsvejledning
Brug af kronografen
- Starte: Press pusher (B) to start the chronograph. The chronograph second hand and minute subdial will begin to move.
- Stop: Press pusher (B) again to stop the chronograph. Read the elapsed time from the chronograph second hand and the minute/hour subdials.
- Nulstil: After stopping, press pusher (C) to reset all chronograph hands to their zero positions.
Using the Tachymeter
The tachymeter scale on the bezel is used to measure speed over a known distance (e.g., 1 kilometer or 1 mile). To use it:
- Start the chronograph at the beginning of the measured distance (e.g., a 1 km marker).
- Stop the chronograph when you reach the end of the measured distance (e.g., the next 1 km marker).
- The number on the tachymeter scale indicated by the chronograph second hand is the average speed per hour. For example, if the chronograph second hand points to '120' after 30 seconds (0.5 minutes) for 1 km, your speed is 120 km/h.
Using the World Time Bezel
The rotating bezel features major city names, each representing a different time zone. To use this feature:
- Identify your current local time zone city on the bezel (e.g., "PARIS" for GMT+1).
- Rotate the bezel until your local time zone city aligns with the current hour on the 24-hour subdial or the main hour hand (adjusting for AM/PM if using the main hour hand).
- Once aligned, you can read the approximate time in other cities by looking at the hour on the 24-hour subdial or main dial that corresponds to their city name on the bezel.
Pleje og vedligeholdelse
Vandmodstand
Your AVIATOR AVW8974G76 watch is water resistant to 10 ATM (100 meters). This means it is suitable for everyday use, swimming, and snorkeling. However, it is not recommended for scuba diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water. Do not operate the pushers or crown while the watch is wet or submerged.

The watch case back indicates its 10 ATM water resistance rating.
Rensning
Wipe the watch case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For the leather strap, avoid prolonged exposure to water, direct sunlight, and harsh chemicals to prevent damage and discoloration. If the strap gets wet, dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry naturally.
Udskiftning af batteri
When the battery needs replacement, the second hand may start moving in two-second intervals (End-of-Life indicator). It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
Fejlfinding
- Uret kører ikke:

- Batteriet kan være afladet. Se afsnittet "Udskiftning af batteri".
- Forkert tidspunkt/dato:
- Refer to the "Setting the Time" and "Setting the Date" sections for correct adjustment procedures.
- Kronografen nulstilles ikke:
- This may require a chronograph hand alignment procedure. Consult a qualified watch technician.
