1. Introduktion

Welcome to the user manual for your new Francis Francis for illy iperEspresso Machine. This machine is designed to deliver high-quality espresso and frothed milk beverages using illy iperEspresso capsules. It features advanced technology, a one-touch brewing cycle, a Pannarello steam wand for easy milk frothing, an auto-stop function with programmable volume, and a power-saving mode. 4. Opsætning og første brug

4.1 Udpakning og placering

3. Ensure there is adequate space around the machine for ventilation and access to the water reservoir and drip tray.

4.2 Indledende rengøring

1. Wash the water reservoir, drip tray, and grate with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.

4.4 Strømtilslutning og priming

5. Betjeningsvejledning

5.1 Brygning af espresso

2. Lift the capsule lever and insert one illy iperEspresso capsule into the capsule chamber. Close the lever firmly.
3. Place your espresso cup on the drip tray under the coffee spout.
4. Press the desired espresso button (e.g., single shot or double shot, if available). The machine will automatically brew and stop.
5. After brewing, lift the capsule lever to eject the used capsule into the collection drawer.

5.2 Using the Pannarello Steam Wand for Milk Frothing

2. Tryk på dampknappen (☕ with steam icon) on the control panel. Wait for the steam indicator light to become stable, indicating the machine is ready for steaming.
3. Position the tip of the Pannarello steam wand just below the surface of the milk.
4. Open the steam knob/lever to release steam. Move the pitcher up and down to create foam.
5. Once desired foam consistency is achieved, close the steam knob/lever and remove the pitcher.

5.3 Programmable Volume and Power Save Mode

• Programmable Volume: To customize your espresso volume, press and hold the desired espresso button until the desired amount of coffee is dispensed, then release. The machine will remember this setting for future brews.
• Strømbesparende tilstand: The machine is equipped with a power save mode to conserve energy. It will automatically enter this mode after a period of inactivity. To reactivate, simply press any button.

6. Vedligeholdelse og rengøring

Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your machine and ensure consistent coffee quality.

6.1 Daglig rengøring

• Drip Tray and Capsule Drawer: Empty and rinse the drip tray and used capsule drawer daily. Wash with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry.
• Vandreservoir: Skyl vandbeholderen dagligt og fyld den op med frisk vand.
• Dampstang: As mentioned in section 5.2, wipe the steam wand immediately after each use and purge steam to clear residue.

6.2 Afkalkning

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the machine, affecting performance. Descale your machine regularly, depending on water hardness and usage (e.g., every 3-6 months). Refer to the illy descaling solution instructions for the specific procedure.

1. Empty the water reservoir and fill it with the descaling solution as per the product instructions.

3. Follow the descaling cycle instructions provided with your descaling solution or machine. This typically involves running the solution through the coffee and steam circuits.
